メトロ･マニラのIntramurosは300年以上にわたるスペイン統治時代に築かれた要塞都市である。
その南側にかの有名なリーサル公園に通じる門があるが、その入り口近くに水族館はある。
水族館は細長い｢塹壕｣のような館内に数十の水槽があり、マニラでも水族館らしいものとしては唯一 のものであろう。
